Monuments Dissolving considers what happens when the structures we build, inherit, or depend on begin to change. Stacked sewn fragments rise like a monument, but their edges are uneven and parts of the form appear to loosen and drift away. What once seemed solid is gradually becoming something else.
From a distance, the work carries a sense of collapse and movement. Up close, each stitch and fragment reveals the labor of building, holding together, and letting go. The piece lives in that uncertain space between permanence and change, where dissolution can feel like loss, but also the beginning of a new form.
