This piece was made in tandem with Holding Place and can be displayed beautifully as a diptych or stand on its own. The background was created with an old wall in mind—layers of paint built up, scraped away, and reduced, leaving only traces behind. The small “characters” at the center might be memories themselves, or perhaps containers for them—a holding place for what we keep inside and return to over time. My artist signature appears on the bottom right, with the title handwritten on the bottom left.
