This work comprises 96 small stitched drawings made from sentimental clothing and found cloth. In Memorials, I consider the grid not only in traditional form (as a vertical and horizontal structure), but also as a stacked form that comes toward the viewer from the page. Each small composition recalls “postage stamp-like” quilt squares layered upon another. Edges overlap and “leak” outwards like memory, like aging.
