Rather than paper and pencil, these small compositions reflect the way I draw. They are intuitive responses to a theme or feeling, made with found objects and meaningful scraps from everyday life. I work on them throughout the day and often carry them in my pockets so that they are both weathered by and reflective of the time in which they were made. It is a treat to pull them all out of my pockets after a trip and see how they relate to one another in a larger composition. Each one is meant to hold its own place and also contribute to something larger than itself, much like being a human.
